Covers

There are numerous material and colour choices available for bimini top and bimini extension covers. Some of these include Sunbrella canvas, Mariner boat hooding, Stamoid, Tessilmare and Nautiplus. For shade extensions, these products can be used or marine grade mesh is an alternative if a complete blockout is not required.  
Sunbrella Plus Canvas – Well known as a durable, breathable cover. We recommend use of Sunbrella Plus which has a durable polyurethane undercoating for superior water resistance and is ideal for horizontal covers such as bimini tops where water resistance is essential.

Sunbrella Supreme Canvas – This canvas has a soft flock on the underside, with the same superior waterproofing as Sunbrella Plus. The flock can be the same colour as the top, or in a linen colour which is great if you want a dark colour without the heat transfer to the underneath.

Shade extensions are made using two tent like poles which fit into rod holders placed into the boat. They can be fabricated from either aluminium or stainless steel. They curve slightly to ensure the shade material has tension and the material will either zip to an existing bimini, or attach to the hardtop or flybridge floor. They are a great solution for those clients who wish to have the flexibility of being able to remove the shade completely.
